The Salvation Army Oakville Community Church
celebrated its 50th Anniversary of caring in Oakville, Ontario, Canada in 2002.

Salvationists began meeting as a church community in Oakville in people's homes and at Temperance Hall at 29 Dundas Street North in 1952.
The community began to meet on Trafalgar Road on the site now occupied by the Tim Horton's coffee shop. The present church was officially opened in August 1952 by Commissioner W. Dalziel.
On October 11 1969 the Rebecca Street Citadel was officially opened. This is our church home to this day. We are now known as The Salvation Army Oakville Community Church, a family oriented community of worship and fellowship.
